Our next movie night is coming up soon! It will be Friday Feb.1st after school. The movie is free to attend - like always - and snacks, pizza and drinks will be sold. All you need to attend is a signed permission slip. Make sure you have a ride pick you up at 7:00 in the front of the school. See you there! Don't forget to vote on the movie you want to see! The 2012-2013 yearbook is now on sale! It's available until March 10th for the low, low price of $30.00!! Flyers are going home in report cards - or you can pick one up in the Media Center. Cash or check is accepted, and checks should be made out to Image Makers Photography. Don't miss out! Cover OneCover TwoCover ThreeThe Media Center at Grace Snell is hosting a book fair at Barnes and Noble! It will be this weekend: Dec. 1st and 2nd. All you need to do is present a voucher to the cashier and a portion of the sale will go to buying more books for our students. All sales are eligible including: food and drink bought at the café, books, movies, and Nooks. It’s the perfect place for holiday shopping. If you are interested in donating a book to the Media Center, there will also be a table of student requested books. The book fair will also have several special events! Make sure to use a voucher for any purchase!! Print them here. Saturday: Robotics Team: 10:00 am Scavenger Hunt with prizes: 1:00. Another way we're celbrating Teen Read Week is by hosting a movie night in the Media Center after school on Oct. 26th. You can vote on the movie based on a book you want to see - all votes must be done by Thursday Oct. 25th. You must have a permission slip to attend - print one or pick one up in the Media Center. Pizza, snacks and drinks will be sold! Your parents should pick you up in front of the school at 7:15 PM. See you there! Book Fair is this week in the Media Center. Ask your LA teacher when you will be coming and remember to bring your money! Each time you come in with your class you could win a pencil or book mark. Each time you purchase something you are entered to win a $5 gift card to spend at the bookfair. Look for the zombie bucks hidden around the school! More will be hidden each night - so keep looking! If you find one, bring it to the Media Center to redeem at the fair. Good luck! Banned books week (October 1st -5th) is currently going on in the media center. A book can be banned when a group of people challenge the content of a book and have it removed from public spaces like schools and libraries. More than 11,300 books have been challenged since 1982. Stop by the media center this week and visit the banned books display to celebrate your freedom to read without censorship! |
