THE RED PYRAMID By: Rick Riordan Carter and Sadie Kane have been separated from their father, Julius Kane, and each other since “the incident” that ended up killing their mother, Ruby Kane, six years ago, until today. They each were living imperfect lives, Sadie wished to spent more time with her father who she sees only twice a year after the Fausts (Ruby’s parents) won the right to keep her. Carter just wanted to live a normal life like Sadie instead of traveling the world, every morning wondering which continent he’s in. Unfortunately, those dreams of normal lives will never come true for these two after one Christmas Eve when their father takes them to a British Museum hoping to “make things right” and is trapped in a coffin and banished into the Daut by Set who planning something even more destructive than a giant Hurricane. The Demon Days are coming by soon and that’s when Set is most powerful, Carter and Sadie have only a few days to save their father and the world. Through this rescue mission Carter and Sadie will find out that their family is more related to Set’s culture and heritage than they know. This is overall one of Rick's best books and it couldn't be written any better.
