Ghosts are real, right? Certainly, in Deep and Dark and Dangerous, ghosts are real. It tells you about a girl named Ali who is 13 and goes to the lake where her mother and aunt lived for the summer. She goes with her aunt and her little cousin, who is 4. There, Ali finds a picture of her mother, and her aunt Dulcie. But there is also someone else in the picture. Someone who is torn out. Ali tries to find out who that person is, if that person is…still alive. I loved Deep and Dark and Dangerous because it had many twists in the ghost story, and many different ideas. It also has a shocking ending and is a non-stop reading book. At one point of the book, I couldn’t put it down. Ghosts are real, and they definitely appear and live in Mary Downing Hahn books. Especially, Deep and Dark and Dangerous.
